I've been bitten...

By the sewing bug! Can seem to get enough fabric at the moment, and whats more Im actually using it, as opposed to buying it and stashing it in a cupboard somewhere LOL!

Today I made a pair of pants for me and Maddi, just some throw on lazy around the house pants, and whats more I can say they have cost nothing! The fabric was given to me and I didnt use a pattern, I really impressed with how they turned out and will be making more.

I also made 2 pairs for Hallie last week and a shirred dress, which is just beautiful.

What does $1 and 1/2hour at a sewing machine buy you??

A Beach Bag of course The idea came from here http://craftydaisies.com/2007/07/23/vinyl-tablecloth-beach-bags/but I just made it up as I went along, I am pretty impressed.

Also made these for Ava's 2nd Birthday next week

MIL gave me a recipe book a few weeks ago called 4 Ingredients. So I have been making lots out of it, We had Baked Custard tonight, the Rissoles are yummy, Maddi loves the LCM bars (and so much cheaper too) Jacobs favourite is the Coconut Maccoroons, Maddi and I made both of these tonight for morning tea tomorrow at school (hopefully that will be a little bit of incentive for them to go to school tomorrow LOL). The Real Custard is super easy, all the kids LOVE the toffees, but what kid doesnt like to eat sugar til their teeth fall out?

And Macadamia Fudge

Need I say more?

Last night I started thishttp://www.lionbrand.com/cgi-bin/patternView.fcgi?itemKey=1922241945
Im making it out of the softest yarn, Its Bamboo and it is stunning to work with. Now keep in mind the only things I have crocheted are tiny round toys, and I excelled myself making a few pairs of slippers, but I loved this cardi and decided what the hell I can do this. I have the back finished, so Im off to start on the front...after a cup of Mint Green Tea.
